The Atal School of Engineering, Management and Entrepreneurship at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi is a flagship institution built on an area of 29000 sqm which has been promoted by the Govt. of India in the respective academic fields. It has been designed to harmonize with its natural environment and integrates with its rocky landscape to develop its special aesthetic and its open spaces.

A significant feature of this project is the Circular lecture theatre Block, which is designed with variable seating capacities. The adaptability of these spaces ensures that the infrastructure can support diverse academic activities, from large lectures to smaller, interactive sessions and adapt to different batch sizes and teaching methodologies. Open Cutouts have been created in the spaces wherever one encounters visible surface rocks, to create informal sitouts, exhibition & display spaces. Additionally, the building's design emphasizes energy efficiency through elements like promotion of cross ventilation and natural illumination via narrower floor plates. These features reduce the need for artificial lighting and air conditioning and promotes open-to-air passages instead of closed box planning. The Building is designed primarily from a walking perspective with G+3 storeys interconnected by wide open stairwells.

Furthermore, the project is designed as per the IGBC Gold Rating. This approach is evident in the use of local materials and the building's orientation predominantly towards North-South to minimize summer sun , while taking in winter sun. The Academic Spaces, Laboratories and Faculty spaces have all been planned around open Courts to take benefit of light entering from both sides of the block. 

School of Engineering & Management and Entrepreneurship

The Malviya National Institute of Technology's (MNIT) initiative in Jaipur was planned as the region's first Net-Zero building project. Currently an unbuilt project of the firm, this has a built area of 35,000 square feet within the MNIT Jaipur Campus. This project has been planned as a demonstration of sustainable construction techniques and renewable energy integration into a building. As a building including laboratories for the Energy department of the MNIT, it is situated to facilitate cutting-edge research in crucial areas like solar energy, biomass, low-energy cooling, and related fields, i.e. creating a Living lab.

A meticulous approach to energy modeling using Design Builder and e-Quest software is emphasized. Energy simulations are crucial for understanding the building's potential energy consumption and identifying strategies to achieve net-zero energy status. 

Being in Jaipur, at the cusp of the Composite and Arid zones, it is designed partly into the ground with a recessed courtyard generating cool air ventilation into the surrounding built spaces. Common walls and mutual shading from one block to the other, together with shading on common spaces, hopes to create an active, lively and comfortable academic atmosphere. Thermal energy generated by twin dish collectors is utilized to run the VAM chillers and create low energy cooling. Radiant cooling is planned through cool water piping incorporated in the structure.  These and other sustainable building techniques like earth air tunnels, insulating materials are demonstrated in the various laboratories / live labs. It is the outcome of a collaborative effort involving CIMMYT (the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center), the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and the Government of India. BISA operates on the cutting edge of agricultural technology, utilizing the latest advancements to enhance farming productivity and sustainability. In response to the escalating demands placed on agriculture due to population growth and environmental challenges, BISA is committed to catalyzing a second Green Revolution.

The primary objective of this master planning exercise in Jabalpur is to create an integrated campus that can develop in a phased manner, seamlessly and cohesively. To accomplish this, comprehensive data on various functional requirements will be gathered and utilized in formulating an integrated master plan capable of efficiently accommodating the institute's current and future needs.

The planning process will encompass various factors, including facility layout, infrastructure necessities, and the incorporation of sustainable design principles. Sustainability is a core focus, and the campus will integrate eco-friendly practices to minimize its environmental footprint.

The New DC Office Building in Chandigarh's Sector 17, spanning a substantial site area of over 2 acres and boasting a built-up area of approximately 350,000 square feet is a significant building in the area. Being a facility for the Chandigarh Administration, this multi-story facility is set to become a prominent addition to the city's landscape potentially making it a hub for administrative activities and public services. It is targeted to achieve GRIHA 5-Star rating by emphasizing on energy efficiency through green building design. This incorporates features that reduce energy consumption, promote environmental conservation, and create a healthier indoor environment.

The G+6 floor structure allows for efficient use of space while potentially incorporating state-of-the-art technology and design elements to maximize energy efficiency and occupant comfort. The Building follows the guidelines of Chandigarh incorporating its Architectural Elements and Frame Control. The building has been designed in a way that it minimizes the heat intake and has a minimal circulation. Office areas promotes flexible partitioning and no cabins are placed on the window side in order to allow the daylight penetration into the space. Indoor Green areas are proposed for the aesthetic and wellbeing of the occupants. 

Overall, the New DC Office Building seems poised to become a landmark in Chandigarh, not just for its size and scale but also for its commitment to sustainability and setting a benchmark for green infrastructure in the region.

Longevity Village

The interior design for ABRPL, a public sector oil refining joint venture company in Assam, India involves not just aesthetics but also functionality and practicality, considering the needs of the employees and the company's image. Creating a comprehensive interior design involves everything from space planning, choosing materials and finishes, furniture selection, lighting design, and possibly incorporating elements that reflect the company's ethos and culture.
Given that it's a project involving civil structure and interior design, it's likely an endeavor, ensuring that the interior spaces seamlessly integrate with the building's architecture while optimizing the utilization of available space. Understanding the company's requirements and preferences would be crucial in designing spaces that are not just visually appealing but also conducive to productivity and efficiency. Incorporating elements that promote a positive work environment and align with the company's branding or identity might also be part of the design considerations.
The Design incorporates all the modern facilities with the integration of natural materials like bamboo. It is a local material which is widely available in the region and is eco-friendly. It is used in the wall claddings, partitions and sit-outs as bamboo wood planks. The office zone has been divided by a central sitting space which provides a relaxing, earthly and social environment for the occupants thereby helping the employ in increasing his/her efficiency. The sitting space is designed in proximity to the workstations with maximum green coverage. Thus, imposing a healthy impact on the office environment.
Overall, this project sounds like an opportunity to create functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces that reflect the identity and values of ABRPL while ensuring a conducive environment for its operations.

The HPL Pharmaceuticals project in southeast China is an innovative venture that's integrating both functionality and cultural principles into its design.

Designing a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility with Feng Shui principles demonstrates a commitment to cultural values while catering to industrial needs. Incorporating Feng Shui often involves optimizing energy flow and creating a harmonious environment, which, when applied to a workspace, can enhance productivity and well-being.

The natural light within the industrial setting is maximized, as it not only reduces the need for artificial lighting but also positively impacts the well-being and productivity of employees. Additionally, prioritizing a minimal site footprint to allow more space for greenery showcases an eco-conscious approach, contributing to a healthier environment and possibly reducing the facility's environmental impact.

Designing the structure to harness maximum power for utilities like HVAC systems and incorporating water-efficient systems that collect rainfall demonstrate a commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. Efficient water management, especially through rainwater harvesting, not only conserves resources but also reduces reliance on external water sources, making the facility more self-sustainable.

The New CREDA Office Building in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, an impressive commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. As a high-efficiency green building compliant with Super ECBC standards, it emphasises various innovative design strategies, such as:
1.	Renewable Energy Integration: Incorporating solar panels and other renewable sources to achieve net positive energy.
2.	Efficient Insulation and Glazing: Utilising advanced materials to minimise energy loss and enhance thermal comfort.
3.	Water Conservation: Implementing rainwater harvesting and water recycling systems to reduce consumption.
4.	Natural Ventilation and Day lighting: Designing spaces to maximise natural light and airflow, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and HVAC systems.
5.	Sustainable Materials: Using Eco-friendly and locally sourced materials to minimise the carbon footprint.
6.	Smart Building Technologies: Integrating energy management systems to monitor and optimise energy use.
This building not only serves as an operational hub for CREDA but also stands as a model for future sustainable architecture in the region. 


Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency CREDA

Model Town serves as the headquarters for the 8th Battalion Delhi Armed Police, sprawling over an expansive 11.3-acre area. Its primary objective is to deliver state-of-the-art facilities tailored to the specific needs of the armed police, encompassing advanced armament systems, extensive training areas, and a dedicated instructional center.

These world-class amenities include a fully equipped swimming pool, the Central Mess Building for communal dining and gatherings, indoor and outdoor firing ranges for marksmanship training, a well-equipped gym, an outdoor fitness area, spacious indoor auditorium halls for conducting classes and meetings, and specialized obstacle training facilities.

What distinguishes Model Town is its commitment to environmentally friendly architectural design principles. These sustainable ideas encompass low-water-use landscaping practices, harnessing solar energy for power generation, utilizing biomass energy sources, implementing cross-ventilation techniques to optimize natural airflow within buildings, and employing eco-friendly construction materials.

By integrating these eco-conscious strategies, Model Town achieves a harmonious blend of style and energy efficiency. This means that the planned structures not only exude a stylish and contemporary architectural aesthetic but also function as energy-efficient and environmentally responsible facilities.
